MetaLinkage.
Rob is a problem solver who brings a wealth of experience in systems and information architecture, interoperability standards and working across diverse application domains.
He has regularly contributed foundational work to the development of modern spatial data standards.
Rob was one of the first to publish maps and databases on the Web, then a co-author of the OGC Web Map Service, instigator of the OGC Observations and Measurements standard (now ISO 19156 and W3C SOSA/SS Ontology). Rob continues to shape the future of modular, polyglot standards through research and leadership roles within the OGC and W3C.
Rob's innovations such as the OGC Semantic Building Blocks and the W3C Profiles vocabulary allow scalability and adaptability of complex ecosystems of systems interaction through robust interoperability standards, tuned (profiled) to real world conditions.
